How do we love those like us?
People who are thoughtless, hard nosed and rough
People who think the world revolves around them
People like me are slow to forgive
How do we love those like us?

It isn’t easy
Our old self can’t
Jesus gives us a new heart that can love
To meet His requirements and stand in His place
People need our love and His grace

It’s not automatic, it’s hard to do
To care for others who don’t care for you
Giving them the love we want
Changes our habits that evil has spun
Cultivating Christ like ways-loving others in Jesus name
